Admin Support

We provide essential assistance for URCM staff members and the day-to-day operations of the division. You will probably interact with us if you collaborate with other URCM units to produce recruitment marketing materials specific to your area or if you frequently interact with the division’s news promotion staff. As URCM's Director of Business Services, Kathy:

  • conducts budget research and creates specialized reports
  • assists in managing system and enterprise wide contracts for various projects; drafting agreements for review by supervisor
  • oversees division office manager and activities related to this area
  • oversees division employee files, staff payroll and performance processes, asset management and retention reporting
  • tracks expenditures and revenue for URCM and PDS
  • conducts in-depth budget briefing sessions with division leadership
  • reviews production expenditures and inventory, creates related reports when necessary

Claudia Cooper

Administrative Coordinator

As a URCM administrative coordinator, Claudia:

  • Assists the directors of Integrated Communications and Brand Marketing/Technology with various team projects, as assigned
  • Manages calendars and schedules meetings for both directors, as well as managing the workflow of assigned directors
  • Helps to monitor and track budgets for each area and helps to plan budgets for special projects.
  • Performs administrative and clerical work for a diverse group of staff under the direction of these two directors, as needed to assist the division's Office Manager.
  • Serves as a team player and pitches in where needed/asked to support the overall goals of the Division of University Relations, Communications and Marketing

Gabrielle Watson

  • provides administrative and operational support to the division's salaried and hourly employees
  • supervises front reception operations
  • manages timekeeping and payroll
  • implements employee on-boarding and off-boarding procedures
  • coordinates purchasing, eProcurement and travel
  • oversees inventory, records retention, asset and space management
  • handles requests from alumni and friends of the university

As URCM's project director, Erica:

  • oversees the initiation and execution of projects and through daily monitoring of URCM's workflow
  • follows the division's strategic goals and mission and stakeholder needs, by controlling both schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of URCM products
  • manages multi-disciplinary teams to guide projects through all stages of production
  • verifies vendors' products and services meet quality and quantity specifications
  • identifies actual or potential risks to projects and helps teams resolve or mitigate as needed

  • provides timely scheduling, project documentation, and continuous monitoring for more than 500 URCM-managed projects annually
  • develops and maintains good working relationships with URCM's vendors
  • supports work teams as they problem-solve issues that may arise during the course of a project
  • ensures that URCM-produced products and services meet or exceed expectations
