What are we working on?

In addition to day-to-day marketing and communications efforts, UBSC contributes to several high-priority university initiatives. These can include anything from annual events to one-off projects and everything in between.

Web Services
Web services include, Omni CMS training, website design consulting, and leading the UNT Web Improvment Project.

The purpose of the Web Improvement Project is to streamline the UNT website for easy use by prospective students and other visitors, showcasing the university and simplifying the creation and maintenance of the web for the university community.
Commencement
Each fall and spring UNT honors the hard work and celebrates the success of our graduates at commencement, and UBSC plays a vital role in the process, from communicating key information to grads and guests, to printing programs, to profiling students in our Great Grads series.
State of the University
Every year (and twice in 2021) UBSC provides support for President Smatresk's State of the University address, where he recaps UNT's most recent accomplishments and outlines the next year's organizational goals to continue the university's growth and success.
TEDxUNT
UBSC led the charge for TEDxUNT – under license from the national TED organization – including planning and working with campus partners to host the successful events. Speakers and performers embodied the "Create the Change" and "This Way Forward" themes.
University Calendar
This project streamlined university events in one calendar platform to provide a more user-friendly, visually appealing and comprehensive experience for current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, visitors and community members. The university selected a new calendar platform in 2021 to funnel and manage all existing UNT event planning and calendar formats and platforms into one product, which provides a robust public-facing event calendar format while also providing behind-the-scenes management, coordination and approval functionality.
Spanish Welcome Website
As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, UNT is committed to ensuring prospective Spanish-speaking students and their families feel right at home before they ever even set foot on campus. This new welcome site launched in Spring 2022 to offer vital resources — including information about admissions, financial aid, tours and campus life — all in Spanish. Bienvenido a UNT!
